WASHINGTON, DC - FEBRUARY 08: With a poster of a New York Post front page story about Hunter Biden’s emails on display, U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) listens during a hearing before the House Oversight and Accountability Committee at Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill on February 8, 2023 in Washington, DC. The committee held a hearing on "Protecting Speech from Government Interference and Social Media Bias, Part 1: Twitter's Role in Suppressing the Biden Laptop Story." And the laptop from hell story refuses to go away.

This newest chapter is headlined in The New York Post as follows: https://nypost.com/2023/09/14/hunter-biden-sues-former-trump-white-house-aide-over-laptop-data/

Hunter Biden sues former Trump White House aide over laptop data

The Post reports:

“Hunter Biden filed a lawsuit this week against a former Trump White House aide over his alleged role in the laptop data scandal, which the first son’s attorneys blasted as a ‘sustained, unhinged and obsessed campaign’ to advance an ‘extremist’ agenda.

The 14-page complaint filed in California federal court Wednesday accuses Garrett Ziegler, a one-time aide to President Donald Trump’s trade adviser, Peter Navarro, of violating the state’s computer fraud and data laws by accessing ‘tens of thousands of emails, thousands of photos, and dozens of videos and recordings’ that belonged to Hunter, according to the suit viewed by The Post.

Ziegler and 10 other unnamed defendants ‘spent countless hours accessing, tampering with, manipulating, altering, copying and damaging computer data that they do not own,’ the filing claims.

Some of the data — which included Hunter Biden’s financial and bank records and even credit card details — was stored on the troubled first son’s iPhone and backed up via iCloud, meaning it was accessed by ‘circumventing technical or code-based barriers that were specifically designed and intended to prevent such access,’ according to the complaint, which was first reported by ABC News.”

The ongoing irony in this latest twist and turn is that it was The Post itself that broke the original story about the existence of the laptop back in October of 2020. Famously, Big Tech jumped in and made a point of shutting down the story on social media so as not to damage Joe Biden’s election chances. And it worked.

As later reported at The Post in 2022: https://nypost.com/2022/03/25/two-thirds-of-americans-say-hunter-biden-laptop-important-story-poll/

The laptop’s veracity was corroborated last week in a New York Times report — triggering outrage from Republicans who accused Big Tech, Democrats and the liberal media of colluding to censor the news so that Biden could defeat President Donald Trump.

Most shockingly, the Rasmussen survey revealed that almost half of Americans (48%) believe Trump would have won a second term if the media had fully reported on the laptop’s revelations rather than ignoring and attempting to suppress them.”

Now, all this time later, there is Hunter suing because the revelation of the laptop contents is pushing an ‘extremist’ agenda.
