‘Flood Gate Of Lies Must Stop’: ABC Panel Explodes Over Anti-Trump Talking Point

A Sunday talk show battle.  The DC reports:

“An ABC News panel exploded Sunday when former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus called out the rhetoric of Democrats leading up to the assassination attempt against 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Priebus dismissed former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Donna Brazile’s “monologue” praising the Biden-Harris administration’s response to Trump being shot on July 13.  

The former RNC chairman reminded Brazile how Democrats branded Trump as “a threat to democracy” prior to the first attempt on Trump’s life.

“Don’t sit here and act like holier than thou, that somehow, you have a corner on this message. Because you don’t,” Priebus told Brazile as she began to interrupt him with rebuttal.

“That’s mis-truthing!” the former DNC chairwoman exclaimed. 

“That’s why you’re not winning. That’s why Harris is behind, and that’s why she’s going to lose,” Priebus argued.  

“This Week” host George Stephanopoulos pushed back at Priebus for not explicitly clearing Democrats of blame in his remarks.  

“I would not blame Democrats!” Priebus said as Stephanopoulos told him to “just say it’s wrong.”

“I just said it, okay? But it’s also wrong to paint the President of the United States, President Trump, as a threat to democracy that’s gonna end the United States of America,” Priebus continued as one panelist shouted, “the former president!”

“What does that do to people’s heads when you do that?” Priebus questioned.

Brazile chimed in by attacking Priebus for Republicans’ stance on illegal immigration. The former RNC chairman told Brazile they were discussing Trump’s near-death experience as she kept talking over him. 

“The Democrats condemned that. But the lies, the floodgates of lies must stop!” she said.

“What lies? Like that President Trump is gonna monitor women’s pregnancies?” Priebus shot back, referencing false claims about Project 2025.

“Project 2025 has nothing to do with President Trump. But you know what? It’s a good talking point for the Democrats and they keep saying it,” Reince said.”
